Description
Sinclair toured Britain in 1992 to raise awareness of how the logging activities of the Daishowa Paper Manufacturing Company were impacting her nation and the legal steps they were taking to prevent this. Apparently, her tour was somewhat controversial from the viewpoint of the Canadian government, who tried, unsuccessfully, to persuade the Catholic Action for Native America organization (London) and the World Education and Development Group (Canterbury) to not give Sinclair a platform. On 31st July, 1992, she gave a talk in Aberdeen, titled “Logging and Canadian Indians Today.” For more information, see http://nisto.com/cree/lubicon/1992/19920920a.html
