Description

In October 1993, Rosse appeared at Bow Street Magistrates Court as a witness on behalf of a woman on trial after scaling the walls at Buckingham Palace to protest Britain’s nuclear testing in the Nevada test site. Rosse told the court that “British nuclear testing in Nevada had killed members of the Western Shoshone nation”[that] water supplies had been contaminated by radiation and it was feared animals which his people relied on were poisoned.” Rosse formed an alliance with members of the Greenham Common women’s peace camp, an alliance which continues today.
