Winona Laduke and Herb Blatchford

Description

Laduke and Blatchford spoke about the dangers of uranium mining during their presentation at Stromness Academy. They told the audience of 150 people “how two-thirds of uranium mining in the US took place on Indian reservations. They claimed that there was a high incidence of cancer among miners and that radioactive emission killed livestock and vegetation.”
