Virginia Tribes delegation

Description

Marking the 400 year anniversary of the settlement of Jamestown, a large group of officials from Kent county, Virginia, traveled to the county of Kent in England. Among them were representatives of the Virginia tribes. Among a number of official duties, they were taken to visit the Pocahontas memorial and burial place in Gravesend. There were two ceremonies – a public one which roughly 500 attended and a smaller private ceremony in St. George’s Church itself.
