Description
Rick Grimster is the son of a Mvskoke father and English mother who met in London, during the second world war. His father, Freeman Marshall, was a member of the US air force, who returned to the US after the war. Rick, who remained in England, was adopted after birth, but in 2000 his daughter, Lucy, retraced the family line and reunited with their Mvskoke kin. Rick and his two children are enrolled members of the Mvskoke nation. Rick is a successful artist, having trained at Cheltenham School of Art and Birmingham Polytechnic. At the time of adding him to the database (March 2023) he was featured in a solo show by Rainmaker Gallery in Bristol.
