In 2013 Monique Mojica spoke alongside Metis playwright, Marie Clements, about the futures of Indigenous arts and challenging colonial representation. Their talk was part of that year’s Inside Out Festival.

Mojica is a playwright, actor and director. Born in New York, she moved to Ontario in 1982 as a founding director of Native Earth Performing Arts. Her mother and aunts were the founders of Spiderwoman Theater in 1976.
