Luther Standing Bear/ Óta Kté

Description

Educated at the Carlisle Indian School, where he was one of the first intake of students, LSB was signed up by Cody to be the interpreter for the Lakota Indian son the second English tour, because his English was flawless. He and his wife had a baby in Birmingham, Alexandra Birmingham Cody Standing Bear. On his return to the USA he was badly hurt in a train crash with the Wild West Show, in Illinois, and did not participate in the 1904 tour.
