Description

In 1975, a Cree country and western singer called Johnny Toronto performed at Castle Marina and at the Royal British Legion Club in Conwy. He had been touring various clubs and restaurants in Britain in the few years before. He was “well-received” in North Wales, with a local agent remarking: “Johnny has certainly made an impact in North Wales. We hope to bring him back fairly soon. Johnny was impressed with the area and the people.”
