Description
Between 2000-2002, Jared Ware attended classes at the Royal School of Military Survey (Denison Barracks). He lived in the Officers Mess for a few months after arriving and adapted to the UK Army lifestyle until he got his own place – a place called The Cabin at the Coppice off the High Street in Hermitage. He says that it was a little strange attending dinner each evening in a mandatory coat and tie, especially when he was the only one at dinner some evenings. It was neat to have an entire kitchen and service staff at his disposal, though, and he believes the staff enjoyed his perspective given some of the differences in traditions and formalities.
