Iacohaslonaki/ George Perryman

Description

The son of Seminole and Mikkosukee chief and British ally Hopoy Mico/ Kinache, Perryman sailed to Portsmouth, England from Florida in 1818 to garner help and support from the British Government in their fight against American troops. The British response was almost non-existent – authorities gave Perryman some money to cover expenses but dispatched him back to Florida without any other assurances of help.
