Description
After five months training in Canada, Quesnelle was sent overseas and he landed at Greenock in December 1940. Greenock was an important entry point for many U.S. and Canadian troops, who then usually departed for training in other locations. Quesnelle spent the next three years training in England before taking part in the Sicilian campaign. He remarked about his time overseas: “A lot of the experiences were new to us, a lot were humorous. At the time they didn’t seem funny but now when I think back on those times it means a lot to me.”
