Description
Hamilton, aged 72, joined a delegation from Nebraska that was promoting tourism to the state during a visit to London. As the Birmingham Daily Post remarked, he was the centre of attention in bustling Piccadilly Circus: “Cameras clicked as he stepped proudly down Piccadilly this afternoon in his splendid feather headdress, buckskins and turkey-feather bustle.”
