As her website proclaims, Erin Shaw “is a painter of borderlands, the spaces between worlds.” She attended Beyond the Spectacle’s symposium: “Bringing Light to the Dark: Visual Sovereignties in Contemporary Indigenous Art of the Americas” in July 2019, where she presented on art and religion alongside Stacy Pratt and fellow artist Tony Tiger, and participated in a print action.
