Description
Brought up on the Beaver Lake Reserve in Northern Alberta, Lewis won the Canadian national amateur heavyweight boxing championship in 1993, despite being lighter and shorter than most of his competitors, and went on to become the Canadian Cruiserweight champion. Five years later, Lewis took on defending champion Johnny Nelson for the WBO World Cruiser title in Dagenham. He lost with a corner stoppage in the 4th round.
