Description

Pegahmagabow was a prolific sniper in the Canadian Expeditionary Forces in World War I and became the most decorated First Nations soldier in Canadian history. In September 1916, he suffered a bullet wound to his leg while serving in France and was transferred to Bristol, England, for medical care before returning to the Front.
