Research Design Service

At CHSS, we carry out high quality quantitative and qualitative research to improve the way that health and social care services are organised, managed and delivered. Our aim is to enhance peoples’ experiences of care, and the outcomes of that care. CHSS research staff have a wealth of experience in undertaking effective research into a wide range of health and social care issues from a systems level to the grass roots, and at local, national and international levels. We collaborate with a wide range of partners, service users, professionals and policy-makers in Kent, the UK and in other countries to improve the links between research, policy and practice.

Our researchers have extensive experience in helping and supporting individual practitioners and organisations with their research. CHSS can be commissioned to undertake research work – such as service evaluations, surveys, and reviews – or be contracted to work with research being undertaken within health care organisations. We can provide a range of specialist research skills in areas such as public health, primary care, integrated care, palliative care as well as specialist expertise in research methodology, statistics, health economics, clinical trials and health psychology.
