Our Health Economics group focuses on a variety of aspects of health economics: theoretical contribution, empirical studies and analyses of health policy from economic perspectives. Our scope includes healthcare and public health interventions, clinical trials, socioeconomic inequalities in health and healthcare, planning and market mechanisms in healthcare and social care sectors as well as evaluation of the performance of health care systems. We are also engaged in public health prioritization support to local authorities, providing research solutions to the Department of Health Policy Research Design Units and offering methodological advice within the Research Design Service units to support the development of NIHR research proposals.
