Submission Guidelines

KCWA’s aim is to be a platform for early career researchers from various disciplines. This includes Research Masters, PhDs, and Postdocs – we also invite those who have left university to continue their research to send us submissions.

Types of Writing:

We publish the following formats:

  • Commentaries (500 to 1,000 words)
  • Short pieces (up to 2,000 words)
  • Longer pieces (between 2,000 and 5,000 words)
  • Reports (between 4,000 and 8,000 words)

While we aim to publish the writings you send us, we cannot guarantee that every piece of writing is publishable. Our team of editors, however, will work together with you to make it a great and publishable piece of writing. Please keep in mind that we want to support you and your research.

If you are having trouble with your piece, send us an email with your pitch, which should include an outline of your main idea(s) and/or argument.

Please also keep in mind that it needs to be an original piece of writing. It should also not be defamatory, offensive, hateful, or threatening.

Referencing:
