Update

**New Call for Papers**

We hope everyone has had a great start to the academic year and found their way back into old and new routines.

We wanted to reintroduce KCWA, which stands for Kent’s Consortium for World Affairs, and announce our newest call for papers.

KCWA is a PhD-led initiative which was founded in 2021 to support and promote PGR-led research. Have you thought about writing about your research but still are not as comfortable about getting it out there? Or have you thought about starting your blog but still struggle with creating enough content?

Therefore, we invite you to participate in our newest call for papers. The call is made up of two main topics:

1) UN Secretary-General’s report Our Common Agenda’ contains 12 key points for states to consider. Particularly, point 11 calls for listening to and working with youth. We would like to hear your voice on how the UN, the international community with its different institutions, and the world’s young generation could communicate with one another in a constructive dialogue for our future.

2) A General Call for papers on any topic of your choosing, including introducing your research topic.

Papers can be anywhere between 500 and 1,500 words. They can be in the form of a commentary, an essay, or a short research paper.

The call for papers ends January 31st, 2023 at 12 noon GMT.

If you are unsure whether your topic would fit the call, feel free to send us an abstract no longer than 250 words by 15th January 2023 at 12 noon GMT.

The call is open for all PhDs, Postdocs, and Research Masters from all fields.

If you have any questions, please email us or contact us on our social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram).

We look forward to your submissions,

KCWA Team
