Devoted to the scholarly study of federalism from a comparative perspective

The University of Kent’s Centre for Federal Studies (CFS) is a research centre devoted to the scholarly study of federalism from a comparative perspective.

Established in 2005, the CFS aims to conduct cutting-edge social science research, offer consultancy to public and private organisations, and provide expert commentary for the international media.

The CFS maintains close links with the Research Committee on Comparative Federalism and Multilevel Governance of the International Political Science Association  the James Madison Charitable Trust, the Forum of Federations and the Federal Trust.
