The workshop celebrated 30 years of optics research at Kent Lecture Theatre 2, Sibson Building 10th Mar 2026, 10am - 6pm
On 10 March 2026, Centre for Advanced Diagnostics Development and Application (CADDA) hosted a one-day workshop at the University of Kent, Canterbury, bringing together over 80 researchers, clinicians healthcare professionals, students and industry specialists working at the forefront of optical imaging, sensing and photonics for diagnostics.
The event highlighted collaboration between the Applied Optics Group (AOG) in Physics & Astronomy and the CADDA team, showcasing how cross-disciplinary research is advancing diagnostic technologies from laboratory development towards clinical application.
The programme included cutting-edge research talks, discussion sessions and dedicated time for networking across academia, healthcare and industry.
