Research by the Applied Optics Group, led by Prof Adrian Podoleanu, was among a select group of projects chosen by the Institute of Physics (IoP) to represent UK universities due to its very high level of impact identified in the last national assessment of research excellence (REF).
The research featured in the publication ‘Inspirational science for a modern economy’, launched by the IoP at the Palace of Westminster reception on 7 July.
