Early Career Awards (RFP2)
SPRING 2017
Through a generous grant from the John Templeton Foundation, the University of Kent will make Early Career Awards to fund research and research activities undertaken by early career researchers. The Early Career Awards are provided as part of the Understanding Unbelief research programme, also funded by the John Templeton Foundation, with additional support from the University of Kent, St Mary’s University Twickenham, and Coventry University. The Early Career Awards stream will provide £120,000 to support contributions from early career researchers to the task of advancing our empirical understanding of the array of phenomena commonly labeled ‘unbelief’.
We aim to make around 8 awards of around £15,000 for research activities lasting up to 18 months (proposals for research activities of shorter duration are also welcomed).
We are now inviting full proposals for Early Career Awards. Funding may be used to support a number of research activities, including new research, further dissemination of existing research and seed funding for the development of future research projects.
