Welcome to Condensed Matter Physics in the City 2022

Condensed matter physics, run by the Hubbard Theory Consortium began in 2010, making this the 13th edition of the meeting.

2021 – In the second year of the COVID pandemic, we proudly hosted Condensed Matter in the City in a hybrid mode, with a small but significant in-person event, linked to a simultaneous EPSRC Foundations of Quantum Matter Workshop held on the Isle of Skye.

2020 – As the COVID pandemic hit, we hosted our first virtual event – Condensed Matter in all the Cities. You can find the programme here.  A reflective account of this meeting was published on the IOP Physics World Blog, which you can find here.

2019 – For our 10th Anniversary, Condensed Matter in the City became Condensed Matter in the Cities, with events in London and Paris. You can see the programme here.
