94th Joint Session of the Mind Association and the Aristotelian Society
10-12 July 2020, University of Kent
The Joint Session is the premier UK general philosophy conference, held annually during the summer by the Aristotelian Society and the Mind Association. Since 1910, it has taken place at nearly every major university across the United Kingdom and in Ireland. This year it took place online.
The conference took place from 17.00 on Friday 10 July to 19.00 Sunday 12 July. The Plenary Sessions, the Postgraduate Sessions, and the SWIP Sessions were pre-recorded videos that were released at the start of the conference, with speakers having found time to respond to written comments and questions over the course of the weekend.
The Open Sessions, to reflect their more informal work-in-progress feel, and the logistics of dealing with so many, were hosted on a website of the speaker’s choosing, and we linked to them from this website.
In addition to the usual programme, there were a range of live events that took place in the space between the talks. The Publishers’ Foyer is our dedicated page for these events; it’s where you can find the schedule.
Local organisers: Professor Simon Kirchin and Dr Graeme A Forbes.
