Assessing needs and risk and evaluating services in Kent, East Surrey and Sussex prisons

The aim of study is to identify current health, social and offending risks of prisoners who misuse drugs in Kent, East Surrey and Sussex prisons and the range of services currently provided to them. The study will evaluate the effectiveness of services in reducing health risks and improving the health of prisoners and in improving the ability of prisoners to function effectively in society and in particular to reduce their long-term drug use and re-offending.
