Since 2016, CHSS has hosted a vibrant, active and diverse Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Group - 'Opening Doors to Research'. The members of this group are a vital part of our research. Opening Doors members work with us, feeding into the research process (see below) to embed PPIE at all stages. In this way CHSS researchers carry out research ‘with’ rather than ‘about’ or ‘for’ the public.
