About

Dr. Julie MacInnes is a Senior Research Fellow and experienced clinician (nurse), academic and researcher whose main areas of expertise are in integrated health and social care for frail, older people living at home and the contribution of voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations to integrated care. Methodologically, she is skilled in implementation science approaches to research and service evaluation, and mixed methods.

A member of the consortium for the project SUSTAIN – sustainable, tailored integrated care for older people in Europe (Horizon 2020)

Expert consultant for the European Social Network (ESN) working group on integrated care of older people in Europe (ESN)

Project manager for the COV-VOL study examining the impact of volunteers in supporting older people self-isolating at home during the COVID-19 pandemic (NIHR ARC KSS)
