About

I primarily work within the Kent, Surrey and Sussex NIHR Applied Research Collaboration providing programme management. In addition I lead some areas of work such as evidence synthesis and research into health system working.

- Integrated care, urgent care and systems
- Place-based healthcare
- Sustainable healthcare

Career and Background

I trained initially as a nurse and worked across acute and community settings for 11 years, including leading one of the first community stroke teams. I moved into NHS management in both providers and commissioners, with the final ten years in Executive Director roles in the NHS in Kent, ending with eight months as NHS Tactical Commander for Kent during the Covid-19 pandemic. I joined CHSS in January 2020.

Education

My undergraduate degree in Nursing was from Christ Church University College / University of Kent and my Masters was from University of Greenwich in Health Research.
