The Complex Trials Research Unit (CTRU) undertakes complex trials across a range of distinctive settings including social care, the police and Criminal Justice System, public health and clinical environments.

The Complex Trials Research Unit (CTRU) undertakes complex trials across a range of distinctive settings including social care, the police and Criminal Justice System, public health and clinical environments. Our team delivers a wide range of Randomised Control Trials and large-scale evaluations focused on improving outcomes for young people and marginalised communities. We test innovative approaches that generate the evidence needed to support better life chances.

Current work includes several Youth Endowment Fund projects evaluating interventions aimed at reducing youth violence and improving wellbeing. See our featured projects section at the side of this page.
