Our aims and objectives:

  • Through the workshops, to familiarise participants from different fields with one another’s conceptual frameworks, practical interventions and needs and the full range of technologies and resources available to respond to them.
  • To test the feasibility of exploiting these technologies to inform research and museums practice and identify future projects through which such areas can be more fully developed.
  • To produce a special issue of a journal from the conference papers, providing the first edited collection on this subject and an extended discussion of best practice for the use of digital technologies in the study and representation of the domestic interior.
  • To produce podcasts based on the workshops which disseminate information beyond the group of key participants, promoting the findings of the network to museum professionals and audiences outside academia.
