As part of our events marking the bicentenary of independence in Peru, Rosa María Palacios interviews Charles Walker about the process that led to Peruvian independence.
Charles Walker was one of the keynote speakers at our conference in Peru in 2018. He is Professor of History and the Director of the Hemispheric Institute on the Americas at the University of California Davis. He is the author of La rebelión de Tupac Amaru, which was published by IEP in 2015. Amongst his other publications are De Tupac Amaru a Gamarra (2013) and The Lima Reader (2017).
