PhD Openings
We are seeking excellent candidates for several PhD projects in the area of quantum condensed matter physics starting in the academic year 2019/20, to be held at the University of Kent, Canterbury, UK.
We have openings in the following areas:
Computational many-body physics:
We offer a project aimed at modelling heavy-fermion materials using stochastic summation of Feynman graphs (diagrammatic Monte-Carlo) methods:
Artificial Intelligence:
We have three openings using Artificial Intelligence to understand Quantum Materials:
- Artificial Intelligence Approaches to Quantum Materials: Characterising Topological Order
- Artificial Intelligence Approaches to Quantum Materials: Quantifying Quantum Entanglement
- Artificial Intelligence Approaches to Quantum Materials: Understanding Unconventional Superconductors
We expect to fill at least one fully-funded PhD position in this area. Follow the links above for further information and for instructions on how to apply.
The deadline for applications to all posts is 8 February 2019.
