SISC Members Nominated for Outstanding Contributions in Teaching
The SISC Group at the University of Kent is proud to celebrate the recognition of its members in the 2023 Above and Beyond Awards. These awards are a testament to the dedication, innovation, and excellence our team brings to supporting and educating students.
On 23rd May, the University of Kent community came together to honour individuals and teams who have consistently gone the extra mile in their roles.
Dr Felipe Fantuzzi was nominated for the ‘Outstanding Feedback Provider’ award. This accolade acknowledges academic staff who deliver constructive and insightful feedback, enabling students to progress and excel in their studies. Dr Fantuzzi’s commitment to providing clear, growth-oriented feedback has notably enhanced students’ understanding and development in their fields.
Additionally, Dr Alex Wright was shortlisted for two awards: ‘Inspiring Teaching Delivery’ and ‘Brilliant Research-Based Education.’ The former award celebrates educators who employ innovative and engaging methods, ensuring high-quality, hybrid teaching, and a future-thinking curriculum that resonates with students across various locations and circumstances. Meanwhile, the latter award recognizes staff who keep students at the forefront of cutting-edge knowledge and research, fostering an environment where students can actively contribute to knowledge creation.
