Felipe Fantuzzi Joins SISC as Lecturer in Chemistry

Felipe Fantuzzi has joined the SISC research group at the University of Kent, bringing expertise in computational quantum chemistry to the group.

Felipe was previously a postdoctoral researcher at the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg, Germany (hosts: Prof. Dr. Holger Braunschweig; Prof. Dr. Bernd Engels). His research is based on the application and development of modern computational quantum chemistry methods to investigate the electronic structure, bonding situation, and mechanistic aspects of novel main-group and organometallic compounds. His motivation goes from fundamentals to applications in distinct fields, including metal and metal-free catalysis, small-molecule activation, bioactive and biomimetic compounds, materials science and optoelectronic devices, and astrochemistry. In December 2021, Felipe started his independent career as a lecturer at the University of Kent.  Welcome to Felipe!
