SAFER-IDD members have also been involved in developing two CBT programmes for people who have engaged in a variety of illegal behaviours. One programme, the EQUIP programme, has been trialled in a secure service by Prof Peter Langdon and a larger trial is underway. The other one, called the Adapted Thinking Skills Programme (A-TSP) was developed with colleagues in HMPPS and trialled in 3 prisons. SAFER-IDD hope to offer training in both of these new programmes in due course.
