Prof. Andrew Green of University College, London, visited us on Thursday 28 May to lead the Physics of Quantum Materials Discussion Group. This was our first external speaker of the COVID-19 era. He delivered a fascinating talk about “Parallel Quantum Simulation of Large Systems on Small Noisy Intermediate-Scale Quantum Computers” (you can read the abstract by following this link). It was a well-attended session with plenty of discussion.
