Barbara Mulloy recently retired from a long career in regulatory science at the National Institute for Biological Standards and Control, where she worked on the physicochemical characterisation of biological medicines with a special interest in anticoagulant polysaccharides and polysaccharides as vaccine components. Her research interests have been in the structural glycobiology of bioactive polysaccharides. Currently she is a Visiting Professor at both Imperial College London and at King’s College London.
