Mohd Nazri Ismail is a Senior Lecturer in the Analytical Biochemistry Research Centre (ABrC) at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). Nazri received his Bachelor of Science (Biochemistry, Hons.) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Biosciences from Imperial College London. During his PhD training under the supervision of Anne Dell and Stuart Haslam, he studied the O-glycan structures in health and disease conditions of a mouse model. He served as the deputy lab director of the Doping Control Centre USM before the centre was rebranded to ABrC. His current research focuses on mass spectrometric characterisation of proteins, lipids and small molecules in medicinal plants and animals. He is also actively involved in the USM Halal pharmaceutical research and service cluster.
