Dr. James Budge completed his PhD at the University of Kent in 2015 where he worked on engineering Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cells to improve transient gene expression processes. Subsequently he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) on an IBCatalyst funded project which focussed on the commercialisation of a novel CHO host. He currently holds a position as a PDRA on the GCRF project concentrating on the construction of novel vectors and optimisation of upstream processes to generate high quality biotherapeutic materials in CHO cells.
