About

Dr. Dang received his masters and PhD degree in Veterinary Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Chungbuk National University, Korea. After that, he moved to the College of Pharmacy in University of Rhode Island, US for his first postdoc funded by National Institute of Health. In 2010 he won a JSPS postdoc fellowship and moved to National Institute of Animal Health of Japan as his second postdoc. During two years in Japan, his research focused on development of a novel baculovirus system suitable for mammal-like glycoprotein expression. In 2013, he came back to National Institute of Veterinary Research of Vietnam (NIVR) as researcher in department of virology. From 2015 to date, he is head of department of biochemistry and immunology of NIVR. His studies focused on production of recombinant proteins using baculovirus expression system such as ORF2 of PCV2, GP5 of PRRSV and E2 of CSFV. Recently, he is interested in African Swine Fever Virus, especially (i) Diagnosis by virus isolation, HAD test, conventional PCR, realtime PCR and ELISA, (ii) Epidemiology and (iii) Vaccine development.
