Phung Duc Chinh is a Researcher at IMHEN. He holds a Master’s degree in Hydrology from the University of Science under the Vietnam National University in Hanoi. His Master’s thesis is “Research for the application of MIKE flood models to delineate inundation risk for Hanoi City”. Mr Phung recently completed the ‘Assessment of Hydrological Drought Index for the Ma River Basin using a Flow Shortage Index’, and is currently the Team Leader of the project, ‘Research on science and practical basis to warn and propose solutions for inundation control in Ban Thach River Basin’. He is also the Secretary of the Oceanography-Hydro-Meteorological Encyclopedia of Vietnam, and has participated in projects and published papers in the fields of meteorology, hydrology and climate change.
