Mr Dang Quang Thinh is the Deputy Director of the Climate Change Research Centre, at IMHEN, under Vietnam’s Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. He obtained his Master’s degree in Water Science Engineering from IHE-Delft Institute for Water Education in the Netherlands, and he is currently a PhD candidate at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Institute of Meteorology and Climate Research (KIT/IMK-IFU), Germany. He has expertise in applications of hydrological models and hydraulic models for research themes on catchment hydrology, flood forecasts and inundation warning, generation of flood maps, and hydrological impact studies, especially under impact of extreme weather events. In this research project, Mr Dang is responsible for application of regional climate outputs to hydrological/hydraulic models, to simulate hydrological processes and generate flooding maps.
