Dr Anh Xuan Nguyen is the Director of the IGP, with more than 15 years of expertise in atmospheric physics. He has been the Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator of four projects relating to atmospheric science during the last 5 years, including “Research on evaluation of flux and basic characteristics of aerosols, to improve the quality of weather forecasting, climate change response and environmental protection”, for the Ministry of Science and Technology. He is also the Principal Investigator on several geophysics projects including a new Seismic Hazards Assessment for Vietnam. He leads the Vietnamese teams for the AERONET, 7-SEAS and SPARTAN projects, and has produced eight publications relating to these projects since 2013. Dr Nguyen will be responsible for fine-tuning the rainfall simulation model within the GCRF-OSIRIS project.
