About

Dang Thu Phuong holds a Master’s degree in Regional and Rural Development Planning from the Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand.  She is now based in the UK, and works as an international consultant to support research and development programmes in Asia and Africa.  She consults regularly for the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation, specialising in climate change adaptation, climate-smart agriculture, mainstreaming gender, capacity development, participatory approaches, stakeholder engagement, and policy-advocacy.  She has also worked in a consultant or researcher capacity for the European Commission, DARA, Oxfam, CARE International, and UNDP, and is a Research Fellow at the University of Kent.  Ms Dang lived in Hanoi where she worked as staff of international NGOs until 2008.  Her in-depth knowledge of Hanoi’s relevant stakeholder institutions was instrumental in the design of the GCRF-OSIRIS project.
