Project Role: support WP4 in developing and implementing Country-Specific Policy Governance Strategies; assessing public and HE sector needs; organising Executive Summer Schools, study trips and major policy forums; and contributing to academic outputs of the project and development of new funding initiatives.

Dr Farrukh Nasimovich Salimov is the Head of the Department of Diplomacy and Foreign Policy of the Tajik National University, member of the PF ‘Eurasian Association of International Studies’ (EAMI) (Kazakhstan) ( 2017) and a member of the Union of Journalists of Tajikistan (2018).

Currently, in the framework of the educational and methodological activities of the new department is focused on the development of textbooks in such areas as “military diplomacy”, “cultural diplomacy”, “economic diplomacy”, “methods and technologies of international negotiations”, “analysis and forecasting in international relations”.

Farrukh’s research focuses on such areas as the geopolitical and geo-economic situation in Central Asia, Central Asian stability, problems of ensuring regional security, politics and interests (political, economic and geopolitical) of the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China in Central Asia.
