Project Research Associate responsible for ‘Research Integration’ (WP2)

About

Project Role: support WP2 in developing and implementing Country-Specific Research Integration Strategies; organising national thematic research workshops, Early Careers training schools and student conventions; and contributing to academic outputs of the project and development of new funding initiatives.

Alisher Rakhimov is the Senior Fellow of the Center for International Economic and Political Research at UWED. He holds a MA in International Relations from the University of Durham, a BA in International Relations from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and a diploma of economist from the Tashkent State Agricultural University.

Previously he worked with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan (1995-2005) and as a political expert with some national research institutions. He was a visiting fellow at the Center for Nonproliferation Studies of the Monterey Institute of International Studies in 2002.

He is the author of several articles on international and regional security issues.
