Student Representatives

Nigar Gurbanli is a final year student in Public Affairs at the School of Public and International Affairs. Her main research interests include sustainable development, politics, urban development, and conflict resolution; and she has previously worked on entrepreneurship, sustainability, and development. Previously, Nigar has spent six months as an exchange student in Political and Social Science at the University of Tartu, and she also attended several conferences on international relations, politics, economics and sociology.

Ali Isgandarov is a third-year BA student in International Studies at the School of Public and International Affairs at ADA. His research interests include Political Economy, Diplomacy, Security Studies, International Relations Theories, and Development Studies. Ali participated in the semester exchange program during Spring 2018 at the University of Tartu, Estonia, with an Erasmus+ scholarship. He is planning to pursue a master degree in Development Economics at Lund University in Sweden.

Iryna Kulinenko is a MA student in History of International Relations and Foreign Policy, at the Belarusian State University. Her research interests include the foreign policy of the Republic of Belarus, its relations with the EU and CIS countries, the implementation process of activities aimed at sustainable development promotion, and the position of Belarus in international and regional organisations. Iryna participated in numerous international youth forums and student conference on the topic of intercultural dialogue and international peace and security. she is an active member of the BSU Quality of Education Council.

Roman Kurbeko is a final year BA student in International Relations at the Faculty of International Relations at BSU. Roman’s specialisation is in Belarusian politics and history, particularly assistance of global organisations to Belarus. His current research project concerns UNRRA assistance to Belarus after World War II.

Anton Boltochko is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of International Relations, BSU, and works for the Minsk Dialogue Track-II Initiative. His research looks at Macroeconomic Stability, Transition Economies, and Political Economy of Reforms.

Mikita Keino is a PhD student at the Faculty of International Relations, BSU. He researches integration processes in the world economy and their influence on the well-being of the regions. His areas of interest also include the ENP and EaP; the influence of EEU on the EU’s external governance, the uniqueness of European integration; and EU policies and democracy promotion.

Nastassia Kisialevich is a PhD student at the Department of International Economic Relations, BSU. Her research addresses innovations, the commercialization of innovations, the world economy, academic research, mobility, scientific infrastructure, the economic aspect of cooperation among countries within the EAEU, the development of dialogue and cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation / study of the prospects for cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation in the field of innovation commercialization.

Liliya Mantsevich is a PhD student at the Faculty of International Relations, BSU. In her research, Liliya examines French foreign policy in the Middle East and Africa, the Palestinian cause, Postcolonial studies, and International humanitarian law.

Alena Pashkouskaya is a PhD student at the Faculty of International Relations, BSU, examining UK-EU relations.

Olga Santarovich is a PhD student at the Faculty of International Relations, BSU. Olga works on economic cybernetics and decision-making.

Adham Khudaykulov is a PhD Candidate at the Centre of Development Studies. Adham is working on the nexus of regulatory regimes and its impact on the economic development in transition economies, with a particular emphasis on Central Asian countries. He worked at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and Ministry of Higher Education in Uzbekistan before coming to Cambridge. He studied in Nottingham, UK and Tokyo, Japan for his Masters degrees.

Her research concerns the human-environment question in Central Asia, as well as sustainability – how it is conceptualised, discussed and practiced – and how this produces various environmental development initiatives and natural resource governance systems.

Matluba Salikhova is Head of the Public Charity organisation “Peshraft”, based in Dushanbe. She is the leader of the youth movement, whose main mission is to be building the capacity of young people in Tajikistan.
