About

Olamide is a public health researcher and with research interest that focuses on the epidemiology, prevention, holistic health outcome and management of infectious and chronic diseases (Multimorbidity). I obtained my PhD degree in Public Health from University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa and a master’s degree in public health from Oxford Brookes University, Oxford. I have worked on project that aimed at improving the lives of vulnerable children and women that are affected by HIV/AIDS in Nigeria, also worked extensively on improving access to sexual and reproductive health and HIV prevention services among youths in South Africa. My current research as a GCDC Postdoctoral research associate investigates the communication and outreach strategies and their impact on Human papillomavirus vaccination acceptance and hesitancy within African context. This research intends to use evidence-based measures to inform policy makers and healthcare workers on best practice messages and delivery strategies of improving human papillomavirus vaccination acceptability, especially in Africa – a cervical cancer endemic setting.
