The lab is focused on the engineering of vascularized tissues by combining multiple engineering strategies, biomaterials and cell types. These models are developed towards applications for drug testing, studying diseases and tissue transplantation. Our specific applications are in the field of human skeletal muscle tissue and vascularized tissue in general. The knowledge in engineering myogenic tissue is also expanded to cultured meat.
